Easily compare cost options to make the choice that's best for you

While lifespan varies, maintained home AC systems should last 10-15 years. Although it might be more expensive upfront, replacing your home air conditioner can often be the best option for your long-term cost savings.

Plus, newer systems are much more efficient than older systems.

That means you can start saving on your monthly energy bills right away. And, when you combine that with setting your home up with HVAC zoning, the savings really add up over time.

Whichever way you choose to go, we're here to help.

Should you decide that a new air conditioning system is your best choice, there are many models available to choose from. While some homeowners prefer traditional central air units, others prefer the more efficient ductless mini-split AC systems. The experts at Be In Comfort will help you choose the best unit for your needs, environment, and budget.

How An Air Conditioner Works...

These are the 7 major components of an air conditioner system:

Evaporator – The evaporator can be found inside your house. Coiling coils in the evaporator take out humidity and heat from the air passing through via a refrigerant.

Blower - A fan moves air above the evaporator, and then sends chilled air through each of the air ducts to each room.

Condenser – The condenser can be found outside your home. The condenser's hot coils let the heat out into the air.

Compressor – The compressor is located right next to the condenser. To chill indoor air, the compressor is a pump that circulates refrigerant from the condenser and the evaporator.

Fan - To dissipate heat from outside, a fan blows air on the condenser.

Filter - An air filter is located near or in the interior air conditioner unit and its job is to remove any particles from the air.

Thermostat - The thermostat regulates the temperature of the cool air distributed throughout your home.
